NYWS Reception Bench
Completed in 2019, the North York Women’s Shelter (NYWS) Reception Bench was the culminating project for third year. My class and I, as well as the third year ceramic majors, were tasked to design furniture and ceramic pieces for the North York Women's Shelter. This bench was a solo project and I took on the immense task of designing and fabricating this eight foot piece myself. Each spindle is turned by hand, all 36.
